Pineapple 101

People close to me know that domesticity is not into my liking. Being the only child, I grew up with full assistance from my parents and nanny/maid. I don't know much of the chores especially kitchen/cooking stuff. During my teenager days, I learned to do the laundry and ironing of clothes 'coz I don't have a choice, we don't have a maid for X months. Prior to relocating here in USA, my mom bombarded me almost everyday to learn how to cook and other kitchen stuff which I ignored. With this, I'm kinda stupid idiot doing things on my own way without asking or researching from web (too lazy to do that) an example is how to peel and cut a pineapple. In the first place, I wouldn't have this kind of problem if hubby just bought those in cans. I forgave him 'coz I phoned him late and demanded to buy a pineapple after he got off from work which is not easy 'coz he needed to look for a 24hr-supermarket. Then, he's so tired to go around and look for those in cans, thus, he went to the fruit section and grabbed one. 'Oh my!' that's my reaction when I saw the pineapple and he asked me why?, I told him that I don't know hot to peel a pineapple the way my parents used to. Then, I googled how to peel a pineapple and saw this video above. But since I want to do it my way, I did not follow the video, see for yourself:

Step 1- Have the pineapple ready
2 - Twist the leafy top
3 - Cut in half, then in quarters
4 - Remove/Cut the skin
5 - Cut in thin slice
6- Cut in portion
