Spring Sneezing-Itching Season

Spring season is my favorite because of the blooming flowers, trees, greener grass but I hate what goes with it, allergies. Anticipating more sniffling, sneezing, clogged nose, itchy and watery eyes and a lot more. This is the time for storing supplies of tissues, anti-allergy medicines, frequent washing of hands or taking a shower after staying long outdoor and immediately wash your clothes. But what we don't know is having a local honey could ease the suffering from our allergy. I read that if we take local honey, the pollen present in it helps us with our allergies, which I thought is cool to try instead of allergy shots & medicines. Last year was very hard for me because my allergy was too severe and I have that for long time. I hope this time it would be better though I know I won't be exempted. I thought when I was in the Philippines, I never have this allergy thing, the itching is the part that I hate most. I got curious to know if the allergy is all the same nationwide and I found an interesting facts which I'll share with you. Do you know what's the spring allergy capital here in USA?, it's Knoxville, Tn. AAFA (Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America) basis for identifying the top 10 list are according to the number of doctors specialized on allergy in the area, then the pollen counts and lastly based on the medicine sales related to allergy.

1. Knoxville, TN
2. Louisville, KY
3. Chattanooga, TN
4. Dayton, OH
5. Charlotte, NC
6. Philadelphia, PA
7. Greensboro, NC
8. Jackson, MS
9. St. Louis, MO
10. Wichita, KS

So, whether you suffer or not with allergy during spring time, the best thing we can do is make sure we don't stay much long outdoor, we wash our clothes after we got home, we take shower, take medicines, drink lots of fluid and take a rest.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it is indeed helpful tips. I love spring but then I should have to be careful especially that am pregnant. Catching such is not good, I know. But I keep on sneezing too, it's only sometimes thank goodness. I hope this is just fine. I will take your advise. Thanks.. ;) Thanks for dropping-by too. :)
