My mother inlaw was talking about retirement options and mentioned that my brother in law is considering annuity. I asked hubby what's annuity and he can't explain that to me in the manner that I can understand so I search online and read some articles about it. I learned that it's an insurance type that gives out a steady income. It's a growing retirement strategy, you can choose to receive payments for the rest of your life of for your choice of number of years. There are lots of terminologies about annuity which I can't fully understand, I heard of fixed annuity, variable, best index annuities and more. Maybe because I don't have financial investments for now, that's why I'm a newbie with those terminologies. Hubby is into this stuff which he's trying to educate me for my advantage. Whatever options they're talking, I know I'm way far behind to plan for that, thanks to hubby for securing our future.
